About the Author

 

Welcome to Scouting Today! My name is Michael Saye, and I'm the founder of Scouting Today, the unofficial scouting blog for scouts, parents, and leaders alike. I started the website after creating a scouting YouTube channel called Scoutr. 

 

 

A little bit about me: I am a Life Scout and a Senior Patrol Leader from Troop 1214 out of Liberty, Missouri. I am a serial entrepreneur and founder of several other companies including Michael Saye Films, TRENDR watches, and Leto Cruze Tees; I'm a published author-in-the-works, the writer of “The Dark Triangle”(which is a work-in-progress); I am a Brave in the Tribe of Mic-o-say, as well as an Ordeal in the Order of the Arrow; and I also enjoy doing things such as designing brands, filmmaking, and starting businesses. Recently I have put a lot of work into a short film I am directing: Bottle Caps.

 

On this blog, I hope to help teach new scouts basic scouting skills; I hope to help parents understand what the Scouting program is all about; help leaders run their troops, and help older scouts discover new ways to continue their scouting careers.
